My weekend has been amazing. After two long weeks of not seeing my family I came home to spend some time with them. I spent Saturday at my grandparent's house. Turns out my family from Monterrey happened to visit on the same day!! I got to spend the day with my two little cousins! They are adorable and the nicest little girls in the world. We made up a game (which included wizards, flowers, rocks, and lots of magic dust) and played for hours outside(the day was very nice and windy out.) Then we went inside and ate Mexican delicious tacos and chocolate cake! Then we played some more with them with their dollies and then told them a bed time story and then went outside again to play some more. I really don't want to go back to the university so soon, but I take these memories with me. These past few days have been incredible and times like these is why I love life and really appreciate what I have, instead of thinking about the negative things.

the best of friends...

This is my best friend Samantha! I miss her sooooo much. This girl and I have gone through EVERYTHING together. I've been with her through her most troubled times and she's been with me through mine. I love her and I want to see her, hang out with her, and have long talks with her like we used to have. She is my favorite person in the world she is hilarious,fun, and sooo pretty haha. She is my go-to person with ANYTHING!!

Recently Craving...PINK

of course Andy Torres!!!!

Hello! So recently I have been loving the pink shorts/jeans look! "GOTTA HAVE IT" haha the weather here in Texas is still 95 degrees (ridiculous i know). So summer clothing is still a must!! I am in love with how the pink contrasts with the white and denim tops!! I personally think it is very pretty. I don't really consider this as my style as it's hard to see myself wearing something like this, but I will try it. I think it's so cute yet simple which is great for college and I like trying new things as well. I am very picky when it comes to purchasing denim shorts though, so I am still in search for the perfect pair.

...the cutest of surprises

Yesterday my boyfriend and I celebrated our 8 months together! I was having the WORST day. My head was killing me, I was so incredibly stressed out with homework and studying...ugh it was so hectic. After my last class yesterday he gave me his dorm key, asking me to please take him his homework to his class. I opened the door and saw this and the CUTEST letter in the world!!! The little puppy was named "Cuca" haha and she jumps, twirls around, and barks and does all kinds of things. She is the cutest and the flowers have made my dorm room smell AMAZING. He made my day of course. :)

Playlist numero 1!!!!!

Kelly Clarkson: Dark Side my new favorite song! It's amazing not only her voice because this girl can sing like no one else, but the lyrics are very inspiring.

Neon Hitch : Poisoned with love I discovered her music about a year and half or so ago and I just completely fell in love. This song is amazing on so many levels it was actually my anthem this summer :)

Jesse and Joy : Aqui voy a little of my Mexican taste of music, this song basically says "yup I'm having a bad day but I'm still here." I've always loved their style of music but this new album is quite amazing I listen to this album on repeat it reminds me of back home. I love the line "todo mundo mira en el espejo no les gusta su reflejo y no les queda nada mas q criticar a los demas" AMAZING!

Mumford and Sons: The Cave do I need to say more about this amazing group? I just love love love them and their music is the best to relax and drink a vanilla latte and study with.

 

Franz Albeniz: Asturias the guitar here is amazing I love me some great acoustic guitar stringing. Great for studying I discovered this amazing song a long time ago. I had a music appreciation project back in high school  and I was given this song. I fell in love with it!!!! So today I did my routine check up on Andy's blog; checked out the video she had posted, and discovered the background music was this exact song, which inspired me to make a playlist post in the first place. Again Andy Torres inspires me not only in fashion.

hello! I've been soooooo busy lately with homework and stuff. ugh! the college stress!!!! :P haha any who here are some photos of me I have not been able to post *except the last two those i took a few minutes ago:) I love this denim shirt I am wearing it today. It is still quite warm in Texas guys! ha! I only had one class today and I just finished it. I love my History professor he is hilarious! haha well today my weekend starts(finally!!) And I have a date night with my amazing boyfriend, we are going to celebrate our 8 months of being together. We are going bowling, go to the movies, and have a nice dinner. :) I will post my outfit for my date very soon. Big plans for tonight! College=study...and lots of starbucks

Today has been quite a busy/productive day. I've been reading "Prisoner of Tehran" it's so amazing and inspirational, it's about a young girl's imprisonment during the revolutionary war in Iran. It is the most interesting book I have read in a long while. Any who, today I've been studying non stop, exams are soon, very soon actually. I have my government exam this coming Thursday and my history will be on Monday! Study Study Study Karen!! After my classes my boyfriend bought me a green tea and himself a cold frapp to cool down! Today has been so hot!! I finally have some time to relax right now, which means time to chat with my mother!

unforgettable moments

It is time to go back to the university... it's a bitter sweet feeling, I don't want to leave my house and my family yet I want to continue with my new life at school! I had such an AMAZING time with my family and my boyfriend's(he's in white striped shirt) family yesterday. I spent the first half here at my house, my family came to visit me, we ate so much!! We ate "Mexican elote" which is corn with lots of chile!!!! haha and ice cream. Later I spent the day with my bf's family to celebrate his little sisters' birthday at the park where I stuffed my face with tamales and spent the time with his little cute niece!!!  oh and the cone cupcakes? so goooood. Anyways my fun is coming to an end; I leave in an hour or so.

on a rainy day

Today the day is just amazing!!! I am going home today to see my parents! I haven't seen them in two weeks and I miss them sooooo much. The drive is only 2hrs away yet it seems that it will start raining soon and I can not explain how excited for rain and the weather I am. *again excuse the dorm my internet shall be fixed soon and I can show you my room :) I am here trying to get some studying done. oh and please go listen to Kelly Clarkson's song "Dark Side" well her latest album is  amazing!! I have it on loop! ha anyways I hope you have an amazing weekend I sure will!!

windy!

Today is so windy out and I love it! You see here in Texas it is always horribly hot! So this is a great change. I am sort of stressed out with school and again I am starving which I will take care of that in about an hour ha! But yes this is the bag I can't seem to get enough of, isn't it amazing? Again I promise my dorm room is waaaaay prettier, but I spend my time in my bf's dorm since my internet doesn't seem to work!
